Daily Floor Maintenance

Simix Cleaner makes cleaning the floors at your store easy

FIRST, SWEEP AND SCRAPE OFF LABELS AND GUM.

HOW TO CLEAN NIGHTLY WITH AUTOSCRUBBER OR MOP

Autoscrubber:
  1. Use regular red pads for daily cleaning.
  2. If floor is very dirty, add one large (4 ounce) scoop to 16-20 gallons of hot water. If floor is not that dirty, add one half large scoop (2 ounces) to 16-20 gallons of hot water.
  3. Put the water at maximum with high pressure on pads, and autoscrub at medium  speed.
  4. In dirty, high-traffic areas like front cart section, scrub with gate up on first pass, allowing water to dwell for a couple minutes. Come back a few minutes later to scrub and pick up with gate down.
  5. After completing half the store, flip the red pads and finish the store.
  6. Drain and rinse solution tank at the end of the night.

Detail mop the hard to scrub areas and edges:
  1. Use hot water in your mop bucket.
  2. Add one small scoop to 4 gallons of hot water.
  3. Mop the floors where the autoscrubber can’t get to.
  4. Do not let water puddle. Make sure you wring out mop often.
  5. Wipe up the sides and any residual water.
  6. When water turns dark, pour out water and refill. You cannot clean the whole store with one bucket.

ON THE NIGHT YOU BUFF, YOU MUST CLEAN THE FLOOR TWICE

  1. First, dust mop and spot clean as you always do.
  2. If floor is very dirty, add one large (4 ounce) scoop to 16-20 gallons of hot water to autoscrubber. If floor is not that dirty, add one half large scoop (2 ounces) to 16-20 gallons of hot water.
  3. Next, scrub with autoscrubber and red pad as you normally do.
  4. Do a second cleaning with one small scoop of Cleaner/Degreaser/Sanitizer per 5 gallons of water in your high traffic areas to make sure there is no residue from salt, sand or grit.

THEN IT’S TIME TO BUFF
  1. Use 3000 diamond grit pads on burnisher. Always put pads color side down.
  2. Go over each section of the floor at least twice, up and back. Walk at medium speed. It’s not a race.
  3. After buffing is complete, rinse pad with warm water and hang to dry.
