HOW TO APPLY SIMIX CERAMIC FLOOR COATING
TO SOFT STONE FLOORS
OR INTERIOR CONCRETE FLOORS

Simix Ceramic Floor Coating will protect your soft stone floor for years to come if you follow these instructions precisely.

Simix Ceramic Floor Coating is made of nanoparticles. It is MUCH thinner than traditional wax or acrylic floor coatings. It is superior, but it is not forgiving. You must follow these instructions precisely to get the best results.

SUPPLIES NEEDED
  • Simix Ceramic Floor Coating
  • Simix Multi-Surface Cleaner
  • Water
  • Mop and bucket
  • Clean dust mop
  • Fan
  • Burnisher
  • Auto scrubber
  • 220 grit diamond pads
  • red pads
  • 800 grit diamond pads

Rinse the floors
  1. Put 220 diamond pad color side down on autoscrubber.
  2. Add 1 small scoop of Simix Cleaner to every 5 gallons of hot water in solution tank.
  3. Make 2 - 3 full passes with the gate down, full pressure, full water, medium speed. Newer tile that is flat and not beat up needs at least two passes. If the tile is old and beat up, you must do at least 3 passes.
  4. Put red pad on autoscrubber.
  5. With the same solution, make one full pass to pick up any residue that might be residing in the grooves caused by the 220 diamonds.

Shine the bare floor
  1. Put an 800 diamond pad color side down on your propane or battery machine.
  2. Make 2 passes if the floor is newer and not beat up, and 3 passes if it is old and beat up.
  3. Clean floor with the red pads.

Check to make sure floors are dry.
  1. If the floor is not dry, then wait. Use a fan if necessary.
Apply the coating
  1. Clean flat applicator mop. Do not assume a new mop is “clean.” New mops are treated with chemicals. These chemicals must be washed off in a clean mop bucket with hot water and a small scoop of Simix Multi-Surface Cleaner.
  2. Shake bottle of Simix Ceramic Floor Coating.
  3. Mix 2 parts water to 1 part Simix Ceramic Floor Coating in a backpack pump-up sprayer. This means if you are using one gallon of Simix, you need two gallons of water.
  4. Second person spreads coating using microfiber mop and side-to-side motion.
  5. Floor must stay wet for at least 5 minutes. If your soft stone floor is absorbing Simix faster, you must apply more or spread coating from wet areas to dry.
Apply the 2nd coat
  1. Allow floors to visibly dry (at least 20 minutes). Use a fan to help dry faster.
  2. Apply a second coat using the same method. Make sure that floor stays visibly wet for at least five minutes.
Polish
  1. Wait 20 minutes after last coat.
  2. Buff with 800 grit diamond pad color side down until you get an even shine. Two to three passes should be enough.
  3. Wait 4-6 hours before you apply more coats.

The Next Day - Two More Coats
  1. Autoscrub using 800 grit diamond and one large scoop of Simix Cleaner.
  2. Empty the tank and put on the red pads.
  3. Fill tank with water. Add one small scoop of Simix Cleaner powder for every five gallons of water.
  4. Detail mop and allow the surface to completely dry.
  5. Apply 2 more coats using same method you used the day before. Make sure that floor stays visibly wet for at least 5 minutes after each application. Make sure that floor is dry for at least 20 minutes between coats.
  6. Burnish with 800 grit diamond pad on your burnishing machine.
